Charlie Brosens is responsible for sourcing, negotiating and underwriting prospective deals. Prior to working for Urban Standard, Charlie worked for Alden Global Capital, a $2 billion hedge fund, where he assisted the firm in rationalizing real estate expenses across their portfolio companies. Specifically, he led Payless' real estate team and assisted the retailer through a restructuring where he monetized the company's real estate holdings and reduced their store footprint.

Before working for Alden Global Capital, Charlie worked for The Ardent Companies, where he was responsible for underwriting and originating commercial real estate investments of all asset classes in the Southeast. Charlie earned his AB in philosophy from Princeton University and his MBA from Columbia University. He was born and raised in Bedford, NY and currently resides in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn.
